On the morning of July 30th, the establishment meeting of the Fire-Resistant Glass and Components Committee of the China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association was held in Nanchang. More than 300 people attended the meeting, including leaders from the glass industry and relevant departments, standing committee members and experts of the committee, and member representatives. The Fire-Resistant Glass and Components Committee was established to meet the needs of the development of the fire-resistant glass and components industry, safeguard people's lives and property, guide and regulate industrial development, and provide good industry management and coordination services for enterprises.

The establishment meeting of the Fire-Resistant Glass and Components Committee was successfully held in Nanchang on July 30th.

At 9:00 am, the meeting officially began, presided over by Zhou Zhiwu, Secretary-General of the China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association.

First, Li Hui, assistant to the president of the China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association, delivered a speech on behalf of President Zhang Baiheng. In his speech, Li Hui stated that with the increasing safety requirements for residential building glass curtain walls, building fire protection regulations and curtain wall glass curtain wall engineering technical specifications have made clear requirements for the fire performance of high-rise buildings and exterior walls. Driven by national building safety production, fire-resistant glass has developed rapidly, but this rapid development has also made us aware of the existing hidden dangers.

1. The industry still lacks sufficient understanding of fire-resistant glass and components;

2. Domestic fire-resistant glass component manufacturers;

3. The application of fire-resistant glass in curtain walls and partitions still lacks systematic and comprehensive consideration.

In recent years, with the increasing requirements for building safety and compatibility, the number of component and product types from relevant administrative departments and construction units has increased, and the market scale has gradually expanded. To meet the needs of the development of the fire-resistant glass and components industry, safeguard people's lives and property, guide and regulate industrial development, and provide good management and coordination services for enterprises.

In her work report, Wang Lei stated that in more than eight months, under the leadership of the China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association, with the active participation of numerous fire-resistant glass and components enterprises, and with the help of many industry experts and enthusiastic individuals, the preparatory work for the Fire-Resistant Glass and Components Committee has been successfully completed. At the same time, Director Wang Lei elaborated on the background, purpose, and significance of the establishment of the committee.

Next, Director Wang Lei introduced the "Rules and Regulations of the Fire-Resistant Glass and Structural Components Committee" and the "Detailed Rules of the Fire-Resistant Glass and Components Committee". More than two-thirds of the member units voted in favor by a show of hands. Director Wang Lei announced the conditions for the appointment of standing committee units and members and introduced the list of candidates. For the voting process, one person was designated as the supervisor and two people were designated as counters.

The National Building Curtain Wall and Window Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the newly elected director unit, Director Wang Hongtao, explained the current situation of the industry and the necessity of establishing the committee, and elaborated on the committee's work and measures.

Director Wang Hongtao stated, "The road is long and arduous, and I will search high and low." Establishing a specialized committee is simple, but making the specialized committee a social group that contributes to society, is valuable to the industry, and helps members is a very arduous task. The establishment of the specialized committee today comes from the care of leaders, society, and the support of members. The future glory of the specialized committee can only be created by our own efforts.

At this important moment, on behalf of the standing committee members, I solemnly promise that we will not disappoint the expectations of leaders, members, and all sectors of society for the committee and me. In the future work of the committee, we will lead the standing committee members to fully play the representative role of the association's interests, the specialized committee's interests, the professional service, and the authoritative coordinating role, build a platform for communication and service among enterprises, a platform for dialogue and communication between enterprises and the government and society, and make the committee a spokesperson for the strength of enterprises, a partner of the government in economic development, and a leader in promoting industrial development. We will do our best to serve enterprises, the government, and society. To this end, I will work hard, live up to my mission, and do my utmost to become a competent head of the specialized committee.
