Water-quenched material

Product Details

Product Feature Characteristics:

Solid sodium silicate, with the molecular formula Na 2O.nsiO2 Commonly known as water glass, it is a white or slightly pale-blue granular substance. It dissolves easily in water, forming an alkaline solution that exhibits both viscosity and excellent gel-forming properties. Additionally, sodium silicate boasts high fire resistance, acid resistance, and corrosion resistance.

Product Overview:

Our company produces solid sodium silicate products that appear nearly transparent (with a slight pale blue tint). We offer three distinct forms: dry-cast jelly-like blocks, crushed glassy solid strips, and granular material produced by quenching in water. These products are manufactured by high-temperature melting of pure soda ash and quartz sand. We provide two high-modulus grades—S-350 (modulus 3.41–3.6) and S-330 (modulus 3.1–3.4)—as well as one medium-modulus grade, S-280 (modulus 2.6–3.0), and one low-modulus grade, S-250 (modulus 2.2–2.5). Additionally, we can customize the modulus according to specific customer requirements.

Main applications of the product:

Widely used in industries such as casting, daily chemical detergents, acid- and alkali-resistant construction materials, refractory products, cement waterproofing and solidification, and welding electrode manufacturing. It is also employed as a chemical raw material in the production of white carbon black, silica gel, silica sol, molecular sieves, and other products.
